was wondering if anyone has been or is in a similar position.
Im about to decide whether or not to undergo a circumcision procedure. Mainly due to the ring of the foreskin is too small to retract back over the gland. How long does it take until keritine build up occurs over the gland to desensitize it?
i've heard of another procedure called Preputial Plasty. Is this a better alternative considering im not an advocate of surgery (unless its a matter of life or death).
Besides i believe we should have what we're born with and prefer to keep my foreskin.
But due to recent events i need to take some sort of action.
Thanks.
I was diagnosed with Phimosis
I was diagnosed with Phimosis about a month ago and my doctor suggested that I should be circumcised. I was 16 when I was diagnosed and 17 when I was circumcised. I went with general anesthesia and it truly is a painless operation. Currently, I'm recovering from the surgery itself, it's not all that bad it isn't really painful just slightly uncomfortable as the glans penis is still sensitive to touch. However, I've read that eventually it'll become less sensitive. As for sexual activity, I am not a virgin and I did engage in sex even when I did have Phimosis and I know first hand it is a painful experience. You feel pleasure from the sex and pain from the Phimosis. However, the pain from the Phimosis is more overwhelming than the pleasure so overall it results in pain. But for me, I would say that circumcision is the best method especially if you're in the military since you're insurance will cover all the costs.
surgery is the way out
i am 27. Like you I was having a foreskin that was too tight to be pulled over the glans. I tried stretching and all that for a long time. Also tried out some steroid creams etc etc. But nothing would help. My girl broke up with me as we could not have sex. I consulted am urologist who said i had phimosis and suggested the only way out is circumcision. I consulted another doc who suggested the same thing. Finally i had myself circumcised. It is a painless procedure as it was done under G.A. Within three weeks i was back to normal. Now my new gal is full of compliments for my stamina. Also my penis does not have any residual drops of urine as it had before. Neither is there any bad smell. Yes it does take a bit of time for the glans to become less sensitive but its not much. Trust me getting circumcised is the best way out if you have a medical condition.
Dude just use perserverence.
Dude just use perserverence. Everyone wants surgery to cure everything, but a little effort will go a long way. You have to fiddle around there. Skin stretches. Recovery day to day from this will be much easier on you (and less risky) than a surgical procedure.
I think that some stretching
I think that some stretching techniques can help with that. Over long periods of time (e.g. a couple of months) stretching the skin can create a little more skin to work with, and also improve the elasticity of existing skin. Just gentle regular stretching might do the trick (maybe during masturbating or whatever). As for circumcision, I don't know much about adult circumcision but I heard that it takes some time for the glans to become desensitised (may not be really what you want) but also it's a fairly permanent procedure. So yeah, slow stretching outwards (away from the centre of the ring i guess) might do the trick.
