Affecting parental respect?

My first instinct was to hate my parent for allowing them to do this.

After a while, hatred tends to go away, because it is a very gutteral emotion. Once you understand people it subsides into irritation and you just tend to hate what leads people to incompetance.

A lot of parents just do what doctors tell them. If anyone has hate coming it's the doctors, because they're smart. They know what this does, and they should be thinking independantly and not blindly accepting pro-circumcision doctrines. Or just doing it so they can make money from the procedure.

But seriously, even if you are the dumbest parent, you'd think you'd at least question the legitimacy of conducting a bloody mutilating surgery on your baby. It really pisses me off.

If I ever have a son I'll do everything in my power to prevent him from being circumcized. Unfortunately, the power to choose something like this often, like anything else, falls in the hands of the mother. This is one issue that should definately NOT be in her hands.

I think, if it should be legal at all (it really should be illegal) but if you must have it legal... it should only be possible if both parents consent to it, and not right away, but they must consistantly consent to it for a month or two, given permission to retract their consent (lol pun) at any moment in time.

You have to wait a week to buy a gun right? This is way more long-lasting than a gun.

If one parent wants to and the other can't, no circumsion.

Honestly, if a woman circumcized my son against my will, I shouldn't have to pay her any child support. Because that's messed.
